Paternity Test NJ

At-Home Paternity Testing in NJ

A private, peace-of-mind answer with the same lab accuracy as a legal test. For personal knowledge only.

An at-home paternity test answers one question privately: is he the biological father? It uses the same accredited lab and the same 99.99% accuracy as a legal test. The only difference is that the result is for your own knowledge and cannot be used in court.

Collect samples privately at home, or visit our office for the swab.

How it works

  • Collect. Use the cheek swabs in your kit, or come into our office and we will collect for you.
  • Return. Send the samples back to the lab in the prepaid packaging.
  • Results. Receive secure results in 1 to 3 business days, explained in plain language.

Who chooses an at-home test

People who want a private answer before deciding anything else. It is the right starting point when the result is just for you and the family, with no court, agency, or birth certificate involved.

One thing to know first

If there is any chance you will need the result for custody, child support, immigration, or a birth certificate, choose a legal paternity test instead. A home result cannot be converted to a legal one later. You would have to test again.

Pricing

At-home, peace-of-mind testing starts at $199. Call with any questions before you book.

Questions & Answers

Common questions

Is an at-home test as accurate as a legal test? +

Yes. The science and the lab are identical. The result reaches 99.99% or greater accuracy. Only the collection process and legal usage differ.

Can I use the result in court later? +

No. Because you collect the samples yourself, there is no chain of custody, so it cannot be used legally. Choose a legal test if that matters.

Is it private? +

Completely. Results are released only to you and are kept confidential.

Does the mother need to take part? +

No. The alleged father and child are enough. Including the mother can strengthen the result but is optional.
